  • We're proud of our members, and we know you are too. Nominating individuals and businesses for awards is a great way to recognize the difference they make in their communities and industries. As a way to showcase our members and the Asian Pacific American business community, we encourage you to consider nominating those who deserve recognition. Asian Pacific American Chamber of Commerce (APACC) is honored to nominate our members as well.

    APACC Award Categories

    APACC's Minority Business Advocate Award

    Asian Pacific American Chamber of Commerce recognizes those who advocate on behalf of Asian Pacific American business owners, and other minority business owners, as well as veterans, and women business owners. Individuals who have fulfilled a commitment to the advancement of Asian Pacific American, minority, veteran, or women business ownership may be nominated.

    The nominee must fulfill one of the following criteria

    1. Efforts to increase business and financial opportunities for minorities.
    2. Legal, financial, or managerial assistance provided to enhance minority business ownership.
    3. Voluntary efforts to strengthen the role of minority business owners within the community.
    4. Advocacy of the minority-owned business community as a whole.

    The deadline for nominations is February 10th, 2025.

     

     

    APACC's Diverse Small Business Award

    The Asian Pacific American Chamber of Commerce recognizes AAPI entrepreneurs who demonstrate exceptional leadership, innovation, and success in building and growing their business. Nominees should embody a commitment to advancing AAPI business ownership and enhancing the economic impact of AAPI businesses.

    The Nominee must fulfill one of the following criteria:

    1. Exceptional Business Growth – Achieved significant growth in revenue, market share, or workforce, contributing to economic advancement within the AAPI community.
    2. Innovative Contributions – Developed unique products, services, or business practices that have positively impacted the industry and set new standards in innovation.
    3. Community Engagement – Voluntarily supports and mentors other AAPI or minority business owners, fostering a culture of inclusion and community growth.
    4. Advocacy for AAPI-Owned Businesses – Actively champions the interests of AAPI businesses, advocating for greater representation, access to resources, and visibility within the broader business landscape.

    The deadline for nominations is February 10th, 2025.

     

     

    APACC Chairman's Award

    The Asian Pacific American Chamber of Commerce honors corporations demonstrating exceptional collaborations between U.S.-based companies and those with AAPI heritage that have driven economic impact, innovation, or growth. Nominees should showcase partnerships that bridge cultural and business landscapes.

    The corporation must fulfill one of the following criteria:

    1. Economic Impact – Established a partnership that has driven economic growth, job creation, or market expansion benefiting both partners.
    2. Innovation through Collaboration – Created groundbreaking products, technologies, or business models through collaboration with AAPI companies, setting industry standards.
    3. Cultural and Business Synergy – Displayed a strong commitment to cultural exchange, integrating AAPI and U.S. business practices for a strengthened partnership.
    4. Commitment to Long-term Growth – Built a sustainable, scalable partnership that fosters growth, benefiting the business communities in both regions.

    This award celebrates corporations that exemplify strategic collaboration, innovation, and mutual progress across borders.

    The deadline for nominations is April 7th, 2025.

     

     

    APACC Community Impact Award

    The Asian Pacific American Chamber of Commerce celebrates individuals or organizations making significant contributions to the economic empowerment and advancement of AAPI communities through dedicated advocacy, education, or philanthropy.

    Nominees must fulfill one of the following criteria:

    1. Advocacy for Economic Empowerment – Actively promotes policies, programs, or initiatives that improve economic opportunities for AAPI communities, addressing barriers and creating pathways for success.
    2. Educational Advancement – Develops or supports programs that equip AAPI individuals or communities with essential skills, knowledge, and resources for economic growth and career development.
    3. Philanthropic Impact – Demonstrates a commitment to philanthropy, providing funding or resources to support AAPI-focused initiatives that drive community progress.
    4. Community Engagement and Leadership – Leads initiatives that engage and unite AAPI communities, building networks and partnerships that strengthen economic and social ties.

    This award honors those who drive positive, lasting change for AAPI communities, fostering economic resilience and empowerment.

    The deadline for nominations is April 7th, 2025.

     

     

    APACC Cross-Cultural Leadership Award

    The Asian Pacific American Chamber of Commerce honors a leader—whether AAPI or ally—who has demonstrated exceptional commitment to advancing cross-cultural understanding, collaboration, and inclusivity in business and economic development. Nominees should exemplify efforts that bridge cultural divides and enrich the business community.

    The nominee must fulfill one of the following criteria:

    1. Commitment to Inclusivity – Actively promotes inclusive practices, ensuring diverse perspectives and backgrounds are represented and valued within the business environment.
    2. Cross-Cultural Collaboration – Leads or supports initiatives that foster cooperation between AAPI and non-AAPI communities, creating shared opportunities and mutual growth.
    3. Champion of Cultural Awareness – Advances programs or policies that build cultural awareness, understanding, and respect, enriching business interactions and organizational culture.
    4. Advocacy for Economic Development – Advocates for programs or partnerships that promote economic advancement and equitable opportunities across culturally diverse communities.

    This award celebrates leaders who bridge cultural boundaries to create a more inclusive, collaborative, and dynamic business landscape.

    The deadline for nominations is April 7th, 2025.

     

     

    APACC Young Achiever Award

    The Asian Pacific American Chamber of Commerce recognizes a young AAPI professional (under 35) who has shown exceptional accomplishments and promise in their career, contributing to economic growth and the advancement of their community.

    The nominee must fulfill one of the following criteria:

    1. Career Achievement – Demonstrated significant success, leadership, or innovation in their field at an early stage, setting them apart as a rising professional.
    2. Community Contribution – Actively contributes to the well-being of the AAPI community through volunteer work, mentorship, or advocacy that fosters positive change.
    3. Economic Impact – Plays a key role in initiatives or projects that contribute to economic development, job creation, or other meaningful impact within their industry or community.
    4. Commitment to Growth – Exhibits a dedication to continuous learning, skill development, and personal growth, setting an example for other young professionals.

    This award celebrates young leaders whose achievements and vision contribute to a brighter future for their industry and community.

    Michigan's Most Valuable Professionals, Entrepreneurs, & Millennials - MVP Awards by Corp!

    Through their careers, community involvement, and passion, these individuals are making our state a better place to live and work. MVP honorees are deserving members of the community who are creating job opportunities, driving economic growth, nurturing community advancements, or leading successful companies.

    Michigan Salute to Diversity Awards by Corp! Magazine

    Michigan's rich diversity and multiculturalism drive creativity and innovation in business.

    The Michigan Salute to Diversity Awards by Corp Magazine recognizes excellence in diversity, equity, and inclusion among companies, community organizations, and individual business leaders through categories such as:

    • Diversity-Focused Company: Supports at-risk minority groups, monitors diversity success, fosters an inclusive workplace, and promotes career development and community outreach for diverse groups.
    • Diversity Champion: Community organizations/nonprofits creating initiatives for diversity, promoting diversity education, fostering civic involvement, and highlighting diverse achievements.
    • Diversity Business Leader: Minority business leaders supporting at-risk minority groups, promoting diversity, maintaining inclusive workplaces, and encouraging civic involvement and employee volunteerism.

    The Best of MichBusiness Awards celebrates the programs and companies making our state a great place to live and work. Nominations are accepted from everyone interested in giving credit where credit is due. This year’s categories rise above the traditional awards program to spotlight the unsung workplace heroes and the companies disrupting the status quo. Bring them the attention they deserve with a Best of MichBusiness Award!  Nominees are Michigan based Businesses and Organizations that have seen company growth over the last 6 months. These honorees have pivoted their business model, grown in size of employees, locations, or revenue, or have created a new platform for their business to thrive.

    Dbusiness Magazine's "30 In Their Thirties"

    Dbusiness magazine is currently accepting nominations for its "30 In Their Thirties" editorial program, scheduled for the May/June 2024 issue. The initiative aims to recognize and highlight accomplished business leaders in the metro Detroit area who are in their 30s as of May 1, 2024. The focus is on individuals making significant contributions to their companies, industries, and organizations. Nominations are open to candidates employed in executive roles within private businesses, corporations, hospitals, and universities in the five-county region of Oakland, Wayne, Macomb, Livingston, and Washtenaw counties.

    The deadline for nominations is February 5, 2024, and anyone is eligible to nominate, with the restriction that a single individual cannot nominate the same candidate more than once.

    Dbusiness Magazine's "Powered by women"

    DBusiness magazine, Detroit’s Premier Business Journal, is soliciting nominations for “Powered By Women.” This exciting editorial program, set to appear in the July/August 2024 issue, will identify and recognize female business leaders in metro Detroit who are moving their respective companies, industries, and organizations forward.

    Hour Detroit's Best of Detroit

    The Best of Detroit readers’ poll is your chance to recognize your favorite spots to shop, dine, drink, and more. The winners will be featured in the June 2024 issue of Hour Detroit magazine. 

    The deadline to submit your vote is March 15, 2024.

    2024 Governor's Service Awards

    The Governor presents these prestigious awards to recognize individuals and organizations for their tremendous volunteer and philanthropic efforts. 

    The award ceremony is an inspirational event that acknowledges the valuable and important contribution of volunteering and giving to the social, cultural, economic, and environmental well-being of Michigan communities. It pays tribute to those whose efforts inspire and promote the spirit of volunteerism and giving through their exemplary endeavors. 
    We encourage you to tell the story of those who are doing incredible things!
