88 Banh Mi and Bowl: Authentic Vietnamese Fusion
 
Located at 29200 Dequindre Rd, Ste. 6, it’s open Sunday through Thursday from 9 AM to 9 PM and Friday through Saturday from 9 AM to 10 PM.
 
Alice Nguyen opened this gem in June 2023. It brings a vibrant, modern twist to authentic Vietnamese cuisine. Alice has beautifully combined the rich flavors of Vietnam with a contemporary setting that makes dining here a delightful experience.

What We Tried: 

I crafted my own bowl with rice, steak, garlic shrimp, chicken, and a fried egg. The portion was incredibly generous—I had to take half home! The meats were marinated to perfection, and the sauces, especially the sweet fish sauce and the thick, hoisin-infused sauce, were simply delicious.

Chris devoured his large steak Banh Mi in record time. The homemade bread was wonderfully crispy, and the steak was juicy and flavorful. We also indulged in Egg Coffee, a rare treat that paired perfectly with a buttery croissant.

Even our picky eater, Ollie, couldn't get enough of the shrimp toast—though we had to warn him about the sriracha on top! He also loved sampling various sweets and snacks imported from Vietnam.
 
On Sundays, they offer special menus. We tried the shrimp and beef-wrapped enoki mushrooms on skewers and the whole grilled octopus, which transported us back to the bustling streets of Vietnam.

R&B Tea Warren: A Boba Lover’s Dream Come True
 
After our feast, we couldn't resist the call of boba tea next door at R&B Tea Warren.
 
Located at 29200 Dequindre Rd, Ste. 5, it’s open every day from 11 AM to 9 PM and until 9.30 PM on Saturday.
 
Thao Nguyen, a lifelong boba enthusiast, opened R&B Tea Warren in June 2023. It's the first Michigan branch of this popular California-based franchise, known for its balanced and flavorful teas.

What We Tried: 

I went for the Strawberry Yakult with cheese cream, adjusting the sweetness to 50% and opting for no ice—it was perfect! Chris loved his strawberry black milk tea with boba.

For something unique, try their top sellers: the Hawaiian Fruit Tea, bursting with fresh fruit flavors, and the Brown Sugar Boba Milk, subtly sweet with freshly made boba. You can customize the sugar and ice levels to your liking.
