Established in 2019 by Anil Pratti and Farzana Poly, Authentikka draws its inspiration from the rich culinary heritage of India. The menu showcases traditional recipes passed down through generations, as well as modern interpretations of classic dishes.
What We Tried:
Our 12-year-old, Midi, is a huge curry fan and has been begging for Indian cuisine for weeks. He was thrilled when we told him we were taking him to Authentikka, promising him the best Indian food he’d ever have!

We started with samosas, which were a huge hit. Midi couldn’t get enough of the Chicken Tikka Masala and Butter Chicken, refilling his plate three times! The butter naan and garlic naan were perfect accompaniments. He ate so much, I felt like he was set for the week!
Chris enjoyed the Biryani, the various curries, and plenty of naan. He said it brought back memories of his trip to India during the Holi festival in 2020, just before the borders closed. Our picky eater, Ollie, enjoyed his Egg Hakka Noodles, which was a pleasant surprise.

My favorite was their signature dish, the House Platter, which features a combination of Tandoori Chicken, Chicken Tikka, Shrimp, and Lamb Sheekh Kabob. It was perfect!
We also indulged in Mango Lassi—five among the three of us! It was that good.

Every Saturday and Sunday from 11:30 AM to 3 PM, Authentikka offers a fantastic lunch buffet. The chef, Thoufeeq Shihabudheen, works magic with his secret spices, making every dish a delightful experience.

Authentikka also offers catering services, not just in Michigan but beyond. They have private spaces suitable for groups or banquets, making it a perfect venue for special occasions. Exciting news: they are opening soon in Troy and we can't wait!
