    APACC's Minority Business Advocate Award

APACC recognizes those who advocate on behalf of Asian Pacific American business owners, along with other minority, veteran, and woman business owners with our Minority Business Advocate Award.

This year, APACC announced Kavy Lenon, Senior Supplier Diversity Manager for Herman Miller, Inc. the winner of APACC's 2020 Minority Advocate Award at the 17th East-West Business Connection, "Envision Success," on March 5. For the past decade, she has been a contributor in promoting the growth of diverse-owned businesses through various opportunities by coaching, educating, advocating, and community outreach.

Kavy connects new business opportunities by utilizing the corporate value of inclusiveness and diversity as a differentiator for competitive bidding. Diligently working in creating innovative ways to help raise internal awareness and connecting diverse-owned businesses with commodity managers, business partners, and prime supplier buyers.

Dedicated to giving back, being a good steward to her community, and embracing change, she enjoys community involvement and volunteer activities. She is the Chair of the NMSDC Retail Industry Group, Michigan Asian American Pacific Affairs Commissioner, and serves as an advisor for Veteran Owned Business Roundtable.

APACC is proud of our members, and we know you are too. Nominating individuals and businesses for awards is a great way to recognize the difference they make in their communities and industries. As a way to showcase our members and the Asian Pacific American business community, we encourage you to consider nominating those who deserve recognition. APACC is honored to nominate our members as well.
