Asian Pacific American representation in MMSDC Leadership

Genuine and robust leadership is what allows diversity and inclusion to thrive. Asian Pacific American representation in leadership is essential to our community. Learn more APACC leadership candidates for MMSDC Board of Directors below.

Grace LeeGrace Lee, CFO of Logic Solutions Inc, APACC chair emeritus, and current board member, is up for re-election to the MMSDC board.

Over the past two decades, I have dedicated myself to be an activist for minority business and pay forward the support that I received over the years both professionally and personally. Putting people first by advocating for diversity and inclusion, I have used my experience to connect with the community to overcome challenges and drive achievement. I am currently serving on the MMSDC Board and would like to continue my work to passionately represent MBEs and entrepreneurial success.

As CFO of Logic Soutions, Inc., I have represented the company by providing strategic financial leadership and as a catalyst for driving business transformation. I have connected with the community through various distinguished groups like the Asian Pacific American Chamber of Commerce (APACC), on which I served as President and Chair of the Bard, and commissioner for the Michigan Asian American Pacific Affairs Commission (MAAPAC). On all the committees and boards I have served, I promoted MBEs and successful businesses both in the United States and abroad. I am voracious about helping people succeed.

As an immigrant and a female entrepreneur, I have had many challenges to overcome to bring success to Logic Solutions. I will use that experience as a business owner and community activist to represent MMSDC with dedicated and dynamic leadership. Therefore, I would appreciate your support on the MMSDC board of director election very much.

My cadences are to generate business opportunities in different industries and regions, prepare MBEs with the opportunities from the emerging technologies, and create an entrepreneurial ecosystem for the younger generation.

Chris NaidooChristopher Naidoo, President Sigma Holdings, and current APACC board member is up for re-election to the MMSDC board.

I am the Chairman and Founder of Sigma International, Inc., a global manufacturing company. Leaving my birth country, South Africa, I came to the U.S., and through the support of diversity procurement programs, managed to start a successful manufacturing business in 2003. Like all of you, Sigma is an MBE owned company and we are passionate about diversity in all that we do, from hiring to procurement.

I previously served on the 2017/2019 board, and in my first term, I used your vote of confidence to contribute to shaping the future direction of the council. I continue to serve as co-chair for the MMSDC learning academy, and we recently launched the AIM initiative. Acting as the voice of the MBE’s, I have helped reshape the learning curriculum to make it more relevant and applicable to the exponential and disruptive changes we are all facing.

Since serving my initial term, I have grown my business globally and acquired an automotive electronics company in South Korea. I have also faced adversity during this time with shutting down a manufacturing plant plus the divestiture of an underperforming group.

I want to use my position on the board to share my business experience, both good and bad, local and abroad, to help you in your entrepreneurial journey. I also sit on the board for APACC and Young Presidents Organization and will use these experiences and networks to strengthen our council further.

If re-elected to the Board of Directors, I pledge to work tirelessly to further the efforts of both the Board and the MMSDC members. My entrepreneurial passion, vision, and tenacity are what drive my company, and I will use this drive to facilitate relationships and open doors for MBE's.
