Exploring the history of the DIA heightens awareness of the individuals who founded the museum, built its collection and supported the institution for over 130 years. This presentation provides the basis for understanding why the DIA is considered one of the most renowned and innovative art museums in the world.
Join us for gallery talks and tours of our Michigan art collection. These special events will be led by a docent from the Detroit Institute of Art.
The talks will be held in the Demonstration Kitchen and the tour will follow.
This program is made possible by the generosity of the Debra Saber-Salisbury Healing Arts and Wellness Walk Fund.
