Job Description
The Electrical Process Engineering Supervisor supervises an Electrical Process Engineering Team. They manage and control all aspects of Electrical Test Equipment and make modifications to existing or new equipment to ensure the equipment meets Product Engineering requirements.
In this role they:
- Review product changes that drive a modification to electrical test equipment. Major electrical test equipment includes:All handheld testers, flash station, Tire Pressure Monitoring System, Roll Test and ADAS.
- Once the modification is understood, they make recommendations back to product that would reduce Capex spending and/or transformation costs.
- After an agreement with Engineering on the proposed change - the Supervisor leads his team to achieve the most cost-effective solution. This includes:
- Can the existing equipment be modified to meet the requirements
- Can re-use available assets be used to meet the requirements
- New equipment will be required to meet the requirements
- Once direction is established the supervisor and their team oversee the action to get the equipment ready for the product change and pilots. This includes:
- Having the engineers write a detailed scope of work
- Work with purchasing and send out Requests for Quote
