    This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Warren three times per week or more as per business requirements.

    Role

    This role is part of the Software and Reflash team within the Global Manufacturing Electrical & SDV Organization. This role is critical for improving the quality of GM products including reducing warranty and improving customer vehicle order delays by preventing defects through a cross functional software checkout process. This role will help the vehicle plants integrate new software into their vehicles as seamlessly as possible. This role is defining the standards for the future of GM.

    What You'll Do:

    • Collaborate to strategically develop standards around vehicle software and cross-functionally with product to reduce software complexity across General Motors vehicle platforms.
    • Create standards for software integration during launch of new vehicle programs.
    • Develop innovative methods for software release and define the most effective way to deliver software seamlessly to General Motors vehicles.
    • Create test cases for bench testing for the checkout of functional requirements.
    • Analyze results and document issues to drive visibility and accountability for issue management.  
    • Assist in program re-flash activities and provide support to Manufacturing re-flash activities. 
    • Set up End of Line Tools to efficiently perform re-flash.
    • Integrate with multiple organizations to set up and maintain test benches and equipment needed.  
    • Track and update modules as required to support future releases.  
    • Develop and lead automation initiatives to execute test cases.; gather and provide data.
    • Understand top issues manufacturing is experiencing and read across to future programs to drive early intervention.
    • Develop solutions that ensure current hurdles are accounted for in development process.  
    • Collect customer feedback from manufacturing teams to ensure action plans deliver quantifiable improvements.
