    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
    The intent of this job description is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by employees in this job. Employees may be requested to perform job-related tasks other than those specifically presented in this description.

    Provides technical support and administration for department in many areas and applications (examples include: AutoCAD, SharePoint, Cityworks, Accella, ArcGIS Online, ArcPro, ArcMap, Power BI, Airtable Roadsoft, and Microsoft Office Suite, etc.).
    Makes recommendation of applications; performs installation, configuration and maintenance for end-users in relation to PC's, laptops, tablets, copiers and printers
    Provides training for applications to department staff; represents department in regard to applicable technologies 
    Determines computer hardware and software requirements; recommends solutions for the department in order to facilitate department operations and workflows
    Authors technical manuals, specifications, training, service requests and standard operating procedures in relation to department systems and operations
    Manages private consultants involved with customizing, configuring, implementing and administering various software applications that are utilized by the department
    Maintains Engineering project and related GIS data to ensure data accuracy. Manages and develops ArcGIS Online webmaps, ArcGIS Online applications and Power BI reports to meet departmental needs and improve departmental workflows and processes.
    Reviews engineering construction and utility drawings on behalf of the department for projects designed by City staff and private consultants in accordance with CAD Standard and City Standard Construction Specifications to maintain project data.
     Coordinates and maintains a current records management system for utility as-built drawing record documents and other public records pertinent to the Engineering Department.
     Attends various technical meetings within the City for the department. 
     Performs related work as required
    Minimum Training and Experience
    Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, computer engineering, business administration, or related field
    --AND--
    At least three (3)  years of experience performing technical engineering work
    --OR--
    Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities
